Diameter tracking pressure myography software

The VasoTracker data acquisition software was written to allow us to measure the diameter of blood vessels mounted in our pressure myographs. It is a standalone, open source software package. You can use it with any hardware you like!

Installation Prerequisites

Before installing VasoTracker, camera drivers, Arduino IDE, µManager, and niDAQmx must be installed. Read the instruction manual please.

Latest Pressure Myography Software

VasoTracker is compatible with most cameras supported by µManager. If you would like to take advantage of this functionality:

      • use µManager to create a configuration file for your camera.
      • save the configuration file as “MMConfig.cfg”
      • place the .cfg file in the main VasoTracker folder.
      • run VasoTracker and select “uManagerCam” as the source.
      • colour model cameras may or may not work.

If your camera is not listed as compatible, get in touch and we will try add it to the software. If you have a Danish Myo Tech pressure myograph system, you should be able to connect to the camera in uManager using The Imaging Source drivers (see here) or OpenCV drivers (see here). If you have a Living Systems Pressure servo, you can now control that using a National Instruments DAQ board (e.g. USB-6001).

    • Change OpenCV camera chip size

    • Manual line caliper
    • Improved algorithm (no need to center vessel)

Important note

To keep things simple, we made a single file installer.  However, this installer may not work on some computing systems. If you have trouble getting VasoTracker to run,  you may need to install the source code (see the alternative installation methods in the user guide).
